As a Contractor you may be asked to provide a bond to guarantee your work (Performance Bond). Or, you may be asked to provide a guarantee on your labor & materials (Payment Bond). Many times these bonds are required together as part of your contract documents. Also known as Contract Bonds, the size of the contract will determine how much information we will need to get you bonded.
Subdivision Improvement Bonds are usually required as part of an Owner/Developer Construction Project. Permit Bonds are usually required in order to obtain a certain Permit. A Grading Permit is one of the most common Permit Bonds written. It guarantees that the Contractor (Principal on the bond) will perform according to the Permit Specifications. The bond is written as a guarantee to the entity issuing the Permit, such as the City of..., County of..., etc.
